Sklo Bursa is a small family company specialized in manual production of decorative and technical glass by processing borosilicate glass tubes and rods using the glassblowing torch. The company focuses on small and medium series production. However, it’s not a problem to produce as few as one piece. Our main priority is to make each customer satisfied with the product and its quality.
The company’s history dates back to 1992, when the present owner, Libor Bursa, obtained his business licence. Then a small glassworks was created in the building of a family house in Střevelná village near Železný Brod, where the manual glass production was launched.
In late 1994 the company obtained a permit for trading activity, which significantly expanded its area of business. Due to an increasing number of orders, we were forced to move the production into new, bigger premises in Železný Brod in 2000. Gradually, we also extended our range of products and started producing sanded, glued and painted glass, especially Christmas and Easter decorations. The company currently trades not only within the Czech Republic, but also exports into countries like Germany, Italy and Slovakia.
